Bonnyhill Road/Seabeggs Road, Bonnybridge - Forth & Clyde Canal

Bridge in operation at the re-opening weekend 26-28 May 2001

This project involved building a new vertical lift bridge for road traffic. Lifted by four hydraulic cylinders in the 'table' formation the deck can be raised in less than two minutes. The contract was awarded to Charles Spencer Ltd. Work on the site commenced in September 2000 and was completed in May 2001.
