Forth and Clyde Canal This 1930’s swing bridge has been refurbished and re-commissioned as an opening bridge. Work on the project started in April 2000 and was completed in January 2001. The mechanical and electrical operating equipment and the control system have been reinstated and the control building has been rebuilt in its original style.
