KAP: Gallery 2005

"Oh no! Another page with hundreds of pictures..." Well, hopefully not. The object is not to tell you my life story, but to show you what KAP can achieve, as well as what you can photograph. 3^rd April: Algarve, Portugal. Bread and Butter for many aerial photographers, but hey! I live in Scotland. Parasols on the beach are unusual! Two walkers approach the cliff edge, unaware of the overhang they are standing on. . . . miniKAPilot and Rig04	24^th April: Boat Lift, Granton. As summer approaches the boats go back in the water, after a winter of care and maintenance. This shot gives a sense of scale for the crane, click on the image to see how close I got! Dopero 100 and Rig04	11^th May: Falkirk Stadium (50m). Home of Falkirk Football (Soccer) Club, this green-field site to the north east of the town makes an ideal KAP location with open ground around the stadium. Dopero 100 and Rig04
11^th May: Fairground Wheel, Falkirk. Even at 45m high I still couldn't top-out the big wheel, which had just been completed. Other attractions as the fairground came to town are still being constructed in the background. Dopero 100 and Rig04	18^th July: Stones of Stenness, Orkney Islands. Dating from 3100BC these 6m (19ft) high henge stones hold many secrets about their use and the society that erected them. Click the image for another view that better illustrates their true size. Dopero 100 and Rig04	19^th July: Scara Brae, Orkney Islands. Also dating from 3100BC these are the houses of the Orcadians from 5000 years ago, complete with passageways, furniture and fittings. A truly breathtaking place. Panobubble. Dopero 100 and Rig04	26^th July 05: Broch of Gurness, Orkney. Dating from around 1000BC, the remains of a traditional Scottish defensive village with main round building & satellite dwellings. There is also a Panobubble of the Broch. miniKAPilot and Rig04
28^th July 05: Yesnaby Castle (40m) Orkney. The name is deceptive, this is an impressive Sea Stack about 45m (150ft) high. Click the image to get a little closer. There is also a Panobubble of the Castle. miniKAPilot and Rig04	5^th August 05: Steam at Bo'ness. A "Thomas Special" pulled by "Hamish" leaves Bo'ness Station for Birkhill Halt. Steam is being kept alive by the Scottish Railway Preservation Society. miniKAPilot and Rig04	12^th September 05: Plane Castle near Airth, has been renovated to restore it's original appearance but provide high quality accommodation for tourists to the historic Stirling area. 22^nd November 05: Blandy, France This small castle forms the center of this village south of Paris. With over 8 kites flying as part of KAPiFRANCE we generated some local interest (click to see!). miniKAPilot and Rig04	24^th November 05: Fontainebleau, France. A French masterpiece of architecture located south of Paris. Click for a wider view. There is also a Panobubble of the Castle. Peter van Erkel's Rok and Rig04	7^th December 05: BBC Radio Scotland, Out of Doors. Peter and I were interviewed about KAP for this radio program.
