"Oh no! Another page with hundreds of pictures..." Well, hopefully not. The object is not to tell you my life story, but to show you what KAP can achieve, as well as what you can photograph. 28th February:  Cairnpapple Hill
. Prehistoric Burial and Ceremonial location  3000 to 1400 BC. The image shows the main cairn from 15m, which is surrounded by satellite burial chambers and ditches.

25th March:  House of the Binns Home of Tam Daylell MP, father of the house of Commons. Both shots from 45m The property and surrounding woodland is in the care of The National Trust for Scotland.

9th April:  Ballintoy Church, 124m North Antrim Coast of Ireland. The square tapered tower on the prominent Church of Ireland building once supported a steeple, until a storm in 1894 left the stump...

14th May:  Cairnpapple Hill Tests Checking focus performance of  the Optio 550. Peter climbs into the now hollow Cairn to see the central burial tombs. Click to see the view of the whole site from 115m.

19th May:  The King's Knot,   57m Beneath Stirling Castle the earthwork remains of the Royal Gardens from 1629. Click the image to turn round 180o, and up to 144m, to see Stirling Castle - bird's eye view!

27th May:  Blackness Castle,  57m In military use from C15 till the end of World War I, this small boat shaped castle sits on a rock on the shores of the Firth of Forth. - There is also a stereo view and Panorama.

17th June: Neptune's Staircase: The Impressive flight of locks on the Caledonian Ship Canal at Banavie near Fort William takes boats from near sea level up to the level of Loch Lochy as they head to Inverness.

18th June: Bunchrew House Hotel. (34m)  This impressive Victorian house on the Beauly Firth was the KAPiSCO base as we visited Inverness on our KAP Tour of Scotland.

28th June: The Forth Bridge  (89m)
Built in 1890, and carrying the east coast railway north of Edinburgh, this pinnacle of Victorian engineering dwarfs the maintenance "village" it rises over.

24th July:  Kite Buggy at Gott Bay, Isle of Tiree (25m). On such a windy and sunny island, with deserted beaches, this is a great place for all sorts of "wind" pursuits.

24th July:  C13 & C14 Chapels' at
Kirkapol, Isle of  Tiree (~35m). The oldest buildings on the island, the smaller chapel (see larger picture) is nearly 700 years old.

25th July: Island House, Tiree(54m)  This impressive house, surrounded on three sides by water, is thought to be built on the site of an ancient "Dun", a prehistoric defensive artificial island dwelling, originally made of wood, turf and stones.

28th July: Hynish Pier, Tiree
(72m) Superbly crafted in the 1840s by Alan Stevenson to build and supply Skerryvore Lighthouse, on an uncompromising  reef, 12 miles out in the North Atlantic. Complete with dry dock, and self flushing device.

8th September: Sailing Tarasa
 
A late summer evening sail from Granton Harbour, Edinburgh, on the Firth of Forth. The 8.5m 'Cobra' makes good headway in Wardie Bay with minimal sail on the 10.5m mast.
