on Holy Island, Northumberland. Originally built in 1550 the castle was re-built in 1903 by Sir Edwin Lutyens as a grand private home. In the care of the National Trust.

This major landmark (which is now decommissioned) sits on a tidal island just north of Whitley Bay, Newcastle.
It is now a museum maintained by the local authority.
